GEO Readiness Score version geo-readiness-score-v0.2, updated September 15, 2026.
Category weights
The score weights are Technical accessibility 20, Entity clarity 20, Content helpfulness 20, Answer readiness 15, Citation readiness 10, Structured data 10, and Trust signals 5. The weights sum to 100.
Levels
0-20 Critical, 21-40 Weak, 41-60 Developing, 61-80 Strong, and 81-100 Excellent.
Status mapping
PASS maps to 100, PARTIAL to 50, FAIL to 0, and UNKNOWN to 25 before category weighting. UNKNOWN is intentionally not treated as a pass; it represents limited evidence rather than a positive signal.
Web manifest signal
Version v0.2 includes a low-priority Technical accessibility check for web app manifests: manifest link, fetchability, valid JSON, name, short_name, same-origin start_url, and fetchable 192x192 and 512x512 icons. browserconfig.xml is treated only as legacy Microsoft tile metadata and does not affect the score.
Coverage limits
The free checker uses a small page sample from the submitted URL, robots.txt, and discovered sitemap URLs. Reports show the sample limit, pages analyzed, fetch errors, robots restrictions, and semantic confidence so the score is not read as full-site coverage.
Version notes
geo-readiness-score-v0.2 uses deterministic rules, structured semantic rules, and fixed weights. When weights, checks, crawler limits, or semantic evidence handling change, the score version changes with them.
